Financial Hardship Application

Please complete the following application if you are seeking assistance with your rental payment obligations. 

One application must be completed per job loss/change of job circumstances for each affected tenant.


Disclosure:

By completing the following form you are agreeing to the following:

  • I/we confirm that we are in true financial hardship. I/we have exhausted all options for financial aid and make a declaration that my/our financial position has been adequately portrayed within this application.
  • I/we understand that until such time that any variation to the current lease arrangements is agreed and/or imposed by legislated variation to the current agreements, the rent and all other conditions of the lease remain unchanged, and normal procedures will apply for collection of rent. 
  • I/we acknowledge that the support for Financial Hardship has been developed in response to the Government Covid-19 restrictions of movement and associated impacts on the community, and that the scope and extent of Government support and assistance may also vary over time, and that any financial assistance that may be provided can be varied to incorporate any future Government support or assistance.

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)(the Act) allows for ‘personal information’, including ‘sensitive information’ (which are defined in the Act) about you to be collected, used and disclosed provided we have provided you with notice and in certain circumstances also obtained your consent.  

We are collecting the below information from you in order to assist you in your request for a rental adjustment or deferment. 

We will only collect personal information from other sources where it is reasonably necessary for us to do so in relation to this specific request and only upon the contact information being supplied to us by you. 

Examples of such sources of personal information include: 

  • Your employer
  • Tax accountant 
  • Banking institutes 
  • And any other party that may supply information to us to support your request

​We may need liaise and exchange collected information with the landlord. Information would be provided verbally and only in the instance of accommodating this request for rental adjustment or deferment. 

You are not required to provide us with the information requested, however if you do not provide your personal information to us, it may not be possible for us to process your request.
